Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who has been in the headlines recently for giving a communal and religious touch to the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections, and this violating the Model Code of Conduct, has once again been reprimanded by the Election Commission.
A day after Congress President Rahul Gandhi filed his nomination papers from the constituency of Wayanad in Kerala, for the first time, where the grand old party is in an alliance with the Indian Union Muslim League, and received much love from the citizens of the area during his roadshow, BJP leader and Hindu nationalist Adityanath tweeted, “The Congress party has been infected with the Muslim League virus. Beware!”, among other things where he blamed the Muslim League for causing the Partition of 1947.
IUML legal team head, Haris Biran Beeran condemned the UP CM for using social media to induce “hatred against communities”. A complaint was filed by the party to the Election Commission, who took appropriate action and withheld the two tweets.
