The United Democratic Front(UDF) is about to hold discussions on seat sharing in Lok Sabha elections. The Kerala Congress(M) and the Kerala Congress(Jacob) has demanded more seats than the previous sharing for the elections.

KC (M) leader P.J. Joseph said that his party wants an additional seat apart from Kottayam and KC (Jacob) also demanded an extra seat claiming it is always ignored in the seat sharing procedure.

The Kerala Congress (Jacob) on Thursday asked for seats in Idduki claiming it is always misleaded and ignored by larger parties and it will not stand back this time.

On the other hand Kerala Congress(M) demanded an extra seat apart from Kottayam which it won last time.

Reports say that the KC (M) has yet not decided contesting from a specific seat apart from Kottayam.  KC (M) leader P.J. Joseph in a meeting said that his party is appropriate and eligible for getting on one more seat but has not decided yet.

The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML )did not demand for any further seats for the election till the UDF’s discussions but the party members wish to have a third seat apart from Malappuram and Ponnani .

Congress and the coalition parties in Kerala will soon be having discussions on seat sharing, reports confirm.
