TMC will contest from 14 states in the Lok Sabha elections 2019
In the long run to fly with colours and win the Lok Sabha polls 2019, Trinamool Congress leader Derek O’Brien announced TMC will contest from 14 seats including Odisha.
On Sunday 27 January the TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee along with leader Derek O’Brien said that the TMC will contest and win all the 42 seats in from West Bengal. Earlier in a speech BJP president Amit Shah said that the TMC is trying to contest for atleast 23 out of 42 seats in West Bengal ahead Lok Sabha elections 2019,correcting him Derek said that they will contest for all 42 seats in the state.
TMC leader Derek claimed’We will contest for all the 42 Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal and we be contesting from 14 states in the coming elections. He further added that the anti-BJP rally held on 19 January was a mirror to BJP.’
According to reports TMC has not yet decided which will be the 14 states .Derek addressed the BJP members and said after the anti-BJP rally in the Parade ground it is crystal clear that the BJP will be finished this time.
Anti-BJP rally was held in the Brigade Parade ground in West Bengal where prominent leaders like HD Devegowda, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal, MK Stalin, RJD leader Tejaswini Yadav, National Conference supremo Farooq Abdullah and his son Omar Abdullah, Bahujan Samaj Party leader Satish Mishra, Rashtriya Lok Dal chief Ajit Singh and leader Jayant Chaudhary, Opposition leader in Mizoram - Lalduwahawma, former Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Gegong Apang, former Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren were present. Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi did not attend the rally.
