Veteran actor and BJP MP from Bihar Shatrughan Sinha tweeted to warn PM Modi. He said in a long tweet that PM should speak up about the Rafale fighter jet deal or it will impact upcoming Lok Sabha election.
The actor-turned-politician is known for his critical statements about his own party. In 2015 He has been asked why he didn't quit the party? “I was in the BJP, am in the BJP and will remain in the BJP. If pointing out facts in party’s interest is rebellion, I am a rebel,” said Sinha.
The rebellion politician criticizes PM Modi time to time. In 2015 while addressing a gathering in Nagpur during an event to felicitate veteran journalist SN Vinod, Sinha once again took a potshot at BJP leadership over Bihar loss saying, “Tali kaptan ko to gaali bhi kaptan ko (If captain gets applause, he should also face flak).” “Gaali here means criticism,” Sinha was quick to add.
Now Shatrughan Sinha came out on social media platform Twitter with this tweet, "Sir, come out clean and speak. It's high time and right time to tell the world about the Rafale deal. Why is their threefold rise in prices? Why HAL, a premier company of India, despite being capable of manufacturing MIG fighter aircrafts, not considered for the offset. Why a ten-day old company with zero experience was awarded the contract?"
In an interview, the actor said, "Rafale is certainly a big loss for us and PM Modi. It's a jolt and a blot on his government. In the past four years, we managed somehow to come clean despite Vyapam but it's surprising that this ghotala happened in an election year."
Now it will be interesting to see what reaction will come from BJP and other political parties after this tweet.
