Raja Bhaiya Approaches Election Commission For Registration of his own party Jansatta Dal

Raghuraj Pratap Singh popularly known as Raja Bhaiya who had been a six-time Independent legislator and been part of both the BJP and Samajwadi Party-led governments is set to form his own political party. Allegedly the party named as Jansatta Dal, Raja Bhaiya would be addressing a grand rally in his stronghold Kunda on November 30, where the official launch of the party will take place.
 
Bhaiya told reporters in Lucknow that he has approached the Election Commission to seek his party's registration. When asked about the reason behind him creating a new party the tainted politician said it would be befitting for him to head his own party after spending 25 years in politics. 
 
Raja Bhaiya said, "I have completed 25 years in politics, have been an Independent politician and MLA, so now have decided to form a political party. I have also approached EC for registration."
 
He has represented the Kunda assembly constituency in Pratapgarh district for six terms in a row. 
 
Former CM Kalyan Singh had named Bhaiya as "Kunda ka gunda" and had unsuccessfully campaigned across Pratapgarh to defeat him in the imposed against him the rigorous POTA (Prevention of Terrorists Activities Act) and put him behind bars for 15 months. After her defeat in 2002, CM of that time Mulayam Singh Yadav retracted the case against Bhaiya.
 
Since then Bhaiya shares a bond with the SP until the 2014 polls where he cross-voted in favour of the BJP candidates.
