Congress party president Rahul Gandhi will attend a prayer meeting at Bapu Kutir in the ashram today. A party leader said, "he will lead the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting. He will participate in foot march in the afternoon and in the evening he will address a public meeting in the evening said." Rahul's schedule is all set and it seems to be a tight one.
The padayatra lead by Rahul Gandhi which will become 'Sankalp rally' and finish at the Circus ground. He will then explain the future plan of the party and also pledge to uphold Gandhian principles and ideology," Congress' chief spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said. In a political scenario where Congress seems to lose its relevance, it will be interesting to hear the party president describing the future strategy.
Describing Today's CWC meeting "historic", Surjewala said, the Congress Working Committee had in 1942 met in Sevagram under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi to adopt the 'Quit India' resolution and a meeting was again held there in March 1948.
Randeep Singh Surjewala claimed that current scenario in the county is of "loot, jhoot (lies), 'batware' (division) and 'bhay' (fear)", from which the country needs freedom.
Attacking on Modi and BJP he said,""The Congress is fighting a war against the ideology of (Nathuram) Godse (the assassin of the Mahatma)"
Now Its a matter of some time when the Congress President himself explain the path of the party for the 2019 Lok Sabha election.
