Son of Tamil Nadu deputy chief minister O Panneerselvam (OPS) P Ravindranath Kumar on Tuesday said that he is keen to contest the Lok Sabha elections.

P Ravindranath said that is looking forward to contest the coming Lok Sabha elections from Theni and Virudhanagar on All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) ticket. OPS son is the secretary of Puratchi Thalaivi Amma Peravai (Theni unit) which is one of the party wing of AIADMK in Tamil Nadu.

Reports say that the Chief Minister’s son is looking forward to contest from Theni which is party’s native.

Reports also predict that the joining of Panneerselvam’s son can lead to a huge controversy in name of familiarism and nepotism.

Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam leader T.T.V. Dhinakaran took a jibe at AIADMK as Kumar sought party ticket. Speaking to reporters in Trichy, Dhinakaran said the people of Theni constituency will teach lesson to O.P.S. Dhinakarana also said that the OPS should not provide ticket to his son as this would be against the laws.
