Lok Sabha Elections 2019 Om Prakash Rawat

LS 2019: CEC Om Prakash Rawat says ‘Right man at right time.

Commenting on 'one country one race' subject, Chief Election Commissioner OP Rawat on Wednesday said Election Commission of India (ECI) will undoubtedly convey decisions under the arrangements of Constitution and Representation of People Act.

ECI will keep conveying decisions according to the present framework, said OP Rawat.

On Tuesday, the Law Commission welcomed all the national and perceived state political parties to hold meetings on July 7-8 on the common sense of gathering information to Lok Sabha and state lawmaking bodies.

The Commission arranged a draft paper on "Synchronous Elections - Constitutional and Legal Perspectives" and has looked for sentiments "everything being equal" including political parties, protected specialists, officials, the scholarly world and so on the paper before concluding its report and sending it to the legislature.

In any case, it has not evoked a reaction from any political party, including the national parties- Congress, the Communist Party of India-Marxist, the Trinamool Congress, the Bahujan Samaj Party, the Communist Party of India and the Nationalist Congress Party. All are in the resistance at this moment.

These parties have for the most part expelled the proposal mooted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a charged ploy by him to redirect consideration from other, more vital, issues.
