Kamal Hassan confirms his participation in Lok Sabha elections 2019, welcomes Priyanka Gandhi Vadra

Kamal Hassan, actor and politician who formerly started his party MKM (Makkal Needhi Maimam) on 21 February 2018 formally launched his party in Puducherry on Thursday.

President of MNM Kamal Hassan said that he will contest the assembly elections and will hold talks about the alliance. However, Kamal did not show up on any conformity about his plans and actions. The actor-politician praised Congress President Rahul Gandhi and his welcomed his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra into politics.

Hassan praised Rahul’s agenda of providing Basic Minimum Income plan for poor and said that Priyanka Gandhi will be a strong support to Congress.

Hassan explained that his party Makkal Needhi Maimam translates to “People’s Justice Centre”. He added that his party will definitely contest the coming General Elections 2019 and is open to alliances. According to reports Hassan’s strong and enthusiastic words for Congress points his interest towards the party, he may form an alliance with the Congress in future.

Kamal Hassan was reported saying “Saffron is not my color” will truly states that he do not support Bharatiya Janata Party. Hassan was on a tour to Tamil Nadu where he addressed people and their problems, he was seen talking about the developments of small villages in the state and also promised to work for their welfare.
