Akhilesh Yadav was seen meeting with Rashtriya Lok Dal vice president Jayant Chaudhary on Wednesday. Reports confirm that Jayant Chaudhary is likely to join hands with SP leader Akhilesh Yadav and BSP chief Mayawati.

On January 12, Akhillesh and Mayawati announced that SP and BSP will contest the Lok Sabha elections together.

Uttar Pradesh  has the most number of seats and SP-BSP will contest for 38 seats each and will leave 2 seats for other smaller parties.

Reports say that the meeting ended on a good note and Chaudhary was hoping to look forward to join SP-BSP alliance.

”It was a good meeting with Akhilesh and we had talks about seat sharing and forming alliance. I feel that we will be successful in our effort of dethroning BJP” he said.
