The Election Commission on Thursday announced that EVMs and VVPAT will be further used in the Lok Sabha elections 2019. The Election Commission stated that all the allegations regarding EVMs were entirely false.

Election Commission on Thursday rejected the opposition’s plea to remove EVMs and use ballot papers for voting purposes saying EVMs will be used in the voting process in the coming elections in all the assembly as well as Lok Sabha polls. Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora on Thursday said” EVMs do not process any hurdle in the voting process, the opposition parties should focus more on the people’s vote than the machine. We will keep using EVM and VVPAT in the elections and welcome every party to have a say in the running EVM issue but EVM will be used instead of ballot papers.”

Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad questioned Kapil Sibal about his presence in the hacker marathon event and said it was just another trick to defame and question Bharatiya Janata Party.

Reports say that the oppositions are using this EVM issue because they do not have anything more against Modi’s government and if they lose this would be a perfect escape for the loss.
