Congress supreme Rahul Gandhi announces poll campaign in Punjab

Congress President Rahul Gandhi announced to form panel in Punjab looking forward the Lok Sabha elections 2019.

 President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday appointed the new chairman of media coordination committee Manish Tewari after he staked claim for the Lok Sabha tickets from Chandigarh. Rahul appointed the position to the former union minister Manish Tewari ahead general elections.

Reports confirm that Punjab Chief Minister Amrinder Singh will lead the Congress poll campaign in Punjab.The campaign committee for Punjab includes Ambika Soni, Shamsher Singh Dullo, Mohinder Singh Kaypee, Ashwani Kumar, Manpreet Singh Badal and Navjot Singh Sidhu.

The party also announced a 21-member state election committee which will be headed by Punjab Congress chief Sunil Jakhar. It has other senior leaders, including Amarinder Singh, Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, Preneet Kaur and Pratap Singh Bajwa as its members.
