Congress decides to contest for 20 out of 29 seats in MP ahead Lok Sabha elections 2019
In 2014 Lok Sabha elections the BJP won 27 out of 29 Lok Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh, but this time the Congress is all set to fight with the opposition and win atleast 20 of the total 29 MP Lok Sabha seats.
According to reports, BJP has confirmed for contesting all the 29 seats from the state and the congress after winning and holding power in MP after 15 years confirms to contest for 20 seats.
BJP and Congress both looks equally prepared for the 2019 elections. BJP representative and co-incharge of Lok Sabha polls Satish Upadhyaya on Friday stated that the party will make sure to field eligible candidates and will win all 29 seats in the state.
Both the parties have started working towards the win in coming election, Congress general secretary incharge of MP Deepak Babaria met incumbent CM Kamal Nath and held discussions planning ahead elections.
BJP transport minister Swatantra Dev Singh and co- in charge Satish Upadhyaya also met for the party plannings in Bhopal on Friday.
Congress general secretary in-charge Deepak also said that there are no chances of any shuffle of plans and the leaders who lost in the assembly elections like Ajay Singh and Ramniwas Rawat will also be fielded in the Lok Sabha elections 2019.
Swatantradev Singh said that despite the loss in Vidhan Sabha BJP will win the seats, new members can be allotted for the seats and major MPs could be replaced.
