The Congress Party has decided to find the ticket aspirants from Telangana for the General Elections 2019. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N Uttam Kumar Reddy has asked to submit the candidature for those interested in contesting the Lok Sabha elections on Congress ticket from February 10.

Uttam Kumar said that the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee will check every application and will decide the appropriate names. After that the names will be forwarded to the Election Commission of India who will forward the names to the party high command.

The Congress party has named presidents for all the 31 districts to ensure their win for the coming elections. The party has decided to win most number of seats from Telangana. According to reports the Congress looks confident about the Khammam and Mahabubabad Lok Sabha seats since the People’s Front candidates obtained more number of votes than its rival TRS candidates in all the seven Assembly segments in each of the Lok Sabha constituencies in the recently held Assembly elections.

The Congress party was wholly disappointed about their performance in all the constituencies except Khmmam and Mahabubabad where they got 38000 and 9000 votes respectively. The party has planned to win more seats in Lok Sabha this time. The Congress leaders are expecting victory in Bhongir, Peddapalli, Nalgonda, Zaheeraba, Chevella and Adilabad.

Former minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy has already announced that he would contest from Nalgonda. It is likely that Telangana Congress working president A Revanth Reddy would contest from Mahbubnagar. Congress looks more confident about its win in the state unlike before.
