BJP chief guesses notification dates for Lok Sabha Elections

Bhartiya Janta Party was slammed after a controversy arised over Maharashtra BJP President Raosaheb Danve’s guesses regarding the dates of Lok Sabha elections.
Maharastra BJP President Danve reportedly mentioned in an interaction with the party workers that the notification of Lok Sabha election will be out on March 2 or March 3 urging the party workers to gear up for the polls.
The Congress replied Danve saying that the Election Commission of India had become the “Election Commission of the BJP” and Danve had become its “election commissioner”.
Objecting Danve's statement NCP president Jayant Patil said: “It is astonishing that a state president of the ruling party comes to know well in advance when the notification for the Lok Sabha polls will come out. This only shows who has sway over the Election Commission.”
Favouring Danve senior leaders of BJP said he was talking to party members and it was taken in other context. was The dates he discussed were his guess on when the notification will be issued,” said a leader.
