Amit Shah in Lucknow to tune up Lok Sabha elections preparedness
On Wednesday BJP President Amit Shah arrived on a day-long visit to Lucknow. His visit is to ease the cadre discontent and improve coordination between the party and the state government ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2019.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and many of his ministerial received Amit Shah from the airport. He is scheduled to take part in a coordination meeting between the organisation, the state government and the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) at a private resort.
The state party workers are complaining from a long time that Ministers and officials do not listen to their problems and this can cause serious damage in Upcoming General elections.
If speculations to be believed Shah and the CM may discuss rearranging the state cabinet, and bringing in new faces.
The BJP leadership is also concerned about the strong position was taken by Hindutva leaders like Pravin Togadia and ally Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray. These leaders are continuously taunting BJP and the central government for the delay in the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya said BJP sources.
The BJP has lost successive bypolls for the Lok Sabha and the state Assembly to candidates jointly put up by arch-rivals Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party.
Wednesday's meeting will also seek to calculate the challenge posed by the two regional parties.
